Finale Marking the Climax of the 5th Anniversary Staff Celebration Activities

MACAU, Nov. 4, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- StarWorld Hotel and Casino ("StarWorld Macau") celebrates its 5th Anniversary with all team members with an array of fun-filled activities, and today they took the excitement to the new height with this unprecedented competition -- "StarWorld Stairs Climbing Competition". It does not only mark the finale of 5th anniversary celebration activities with the staff, it also commemorates an unprecedented stair run competition inside a hotel property in Macau, once again seeing StarWorld Macau leading the industry trend.

The true spirit behind StarWorld Macau cannot be better represented by the concerted efforts the contestants demonstrated. The much-anticipated competition was well participated by over 120 staff from various departments. As Mr. Gabriel Hunterton of StarWorld Hotel and Casino Chief Operating Officer announced the start of the competition, the contestants raced to compete for the first places in 3 categories: namely, Women's Singles, Men's Singles and Mixed Group. Eventually Zhou Jihua (Food & Beverage department), Lu Yu (Food & Beverage department) and, Guan Ruiliang, Hu ShangJun and Chan Ka Hei (Housekeeping department) captured the champions of the respective categories (please refer to the table below for details). The champion team for the mixed group category clocked only 4 minutes 47 seconds which is also the best result for this competition.
