Gerry & the Pacemakers

Gerry & the Pacemakers是1960年代英国摇滚乐组合，由主唱兼吉他手Gerry Marsden领导，作为第一波英伦入侵浪潮的代表乐队之一，与披头士同属经纪人Brian Epstein签约并共享制作人George Martin。该乐队以连续三首单曲（《How Do You Do It》《I Like It》《You'll Never Walk Alone》）登顶英国单曲榜创下纪录，成为唯一与Frankie Goes To Hollywood并列达成此成就的乐队。其后期代表作包括《Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying》和电影主题曲《Ferry Cross the Mersey》。1966年发行单曲《Girl on a Swing》后解散，未实现音乐风格转型 [5]。

Gerry & the Pacemakers成立于1960年代初，与披头士共同活跃于利物浦Cavern俱乐部和汉堡演出场所。作为Brian Epstein签约的第二支乐队，其首支英国冠军单曲《How Do You Do It》原为披头士拒绝翻唱的歌曲。1964年至1965年间，乐队连续三首单曲登顶英国榜，但未如披头士般转型，最终于1966年解散 [5]。
