① Childhood Friend 发小
你有发小吗？就是那种从小到大都在一起玩的朋友？发小通常指在一起超过十年或者二十年的朋友。
Eg：I have a childhood friend who keep in touch with me till now. 
我有一个发小到现在还在跟我联系。

② Confidante 知己
也可以理解为闺蜜，最好的朋友。这样的朋友往往能与你同甘共苦，开心时陪你笑，难过时陪你哭，不用多说就什么都懂你的人。
Eg：I don’t have many confidantes, only several one. But every time they will be my side when I was in trouble.

③ Acquaintance 泛泛之交
这类朋友通常只知道对方名字，路上看到了会点头微笑，并没有深入了解，类似于朋友圈的“点赞之交”。
Eg：He just is one of acquaintance for me, I only know his name.

④ Fair-weather Friend 酒肉朋友
这种朋友通常只能和你同甘不能共患难，都是经不起考验的友情。
Eg：I have realized that Lucy is a fair-weather friend.

⑤ Pen Pal 笔友
以前通讯不发达的时候大家都靠写信联络，就叫笔友。现在交通发达很少人会靠写信交友，这种用文字传达心意的东西越来越少。
Eg：I had a pen pal in high school, but later we don’t touch anymore.
高中的时候我有一个笔友，但是后来我们再也没联系过。

⑥BFF/ Bestie闺蜜
BFF是指Best Friend Forever，就是永远的好朋友，一般女生比较喜欢用BFF来表示自己的“闺蜜”，当然“闺蜜”也可以说是Bestie.

  ⑦Close Friend密友
表示关系很亲密的朋友，你们会经常见面，一起吃饭，唱歌，出去玩，如果你想形容你们的关系很亲密，也可以说We're tight / close.

⑧Buddy/ Mate兄弟，哥们儿（美国口语）
在美国你会经常听到 He's my buddy! 
而在英国的街头则会听到 Cheers, mate! & This is my mate David.
所以Buddy是美国人用得比较多, 而Mate则是在英国，澳大利亚也比较流行，但表达的意思都是“兄弟，哥们儿”。

⑨Bromance兄弟情义
也可以理解为“兄弟情”，指两个男人关系很好。
是 bro/brother（兄弟）+romance（浪漫） 的合成，两个（或以上）关系特别好但不涉及同性恋的男人间的一种亲密关系，可以延伸为哥俩好的意思。

  ⑩Acquaintance熟人
指彼此认识，有来往但关系并不近的熟人。
就是见面打个招呼，有的甚至根本没有见过面，可能只是加了个微信，知道对方好像认识这么一个人，偶尔在朋友圈评论点赞，但是相互并不了解
